How does it work is often the first question those seeking to join this super luxurious lifestyle ask.  It is very simple.  Yacht Co-Ownership is exactly as the name suggests.  A number of people, or companies for that matter, buy shares in a specific yacht.   As with any form of Boat & Yacht Syndicates, we offer a simple yacht syndication agreement between the yacht shareowners, and our online platform structures the fractional yacht ownership usage. 

Our yacht syndication owners really do own a share in the yacht and get the benefits any owner would expect from an asset they own.   These include 6 weeks usage per year for every yacht share purchased, and you can buy more than one yacht share, of course, only paying an 8th of the cost to purchase for each of their yacht shares. And of course, share the costs on a pro-rata basis under the simple yacht syndication agreement.  These include everything from captains and crew, moorings, servicing and insurance.      

Like any asset, the yacht share that can be resold at a future point, MIY Yacht owners often part exchange their share and trade up to the next yacht they feel like owning – just like buying cars.

 Our MIY Yacht Co-Ownership programme is suited to everyone, no matter your circumstance. We really aim to make it very simple for every owner. It exists to enable the yacht co-owners to enjoy 100% of their time from the minute they step aboard.   

We take care of everything for all yacht shareowners. Our MIY Yacht Co-Ownership syndicate agreement includes everything from captains, crew, moorings down as far as sorting the champagne you would want on your yacht when you arrive to enjoy it.  What more could you ask for?

At another level, the MIY Yacht service takes being personal to another level. As part of the yacht share, the Boat Share Syndicate agreement means that the MIY Fractional Yacht ownership experience goes beyond that normally associated with anything other than full ownership, but for a fraction of the cost.  For example, the degree of personalization could include, with new yacht orders, newly entering owners having a say on the choice of materials and colour schemes that are to be deployed across the interior and exterior. 

Regardless of the point at which an owner purchases their yacht share, every owner will expect to experience a personalization of their yacht that ensures they know it is their vessel.  This includes the Yacht being prepared with their personal possessions ready as they board the yacht.   These items are carefully stored in their owner storage unit when they are away from their boat and put back out once they are due to board. If there is another form of lifestyle that offers so much luxury and at a price that now makes it affordable then we don’t know what it might be.
