The Burj Al Arab in superyachting city, Dubai

Dubai

Dubai - famous for iconic sightseeing attractions and over-the-top shopping malls that come complete with ski slopes. Extravagance and excessive exhibitions of wealth are the norm here, but there is a fascinating hidden side to the city which has many cultural highlights.

Take your yacht around the exclusive Palm Jumeirah, dotted with an array of al fresco dining options to suit all tastes, should you wish to stop off, and home to the world’s largest fountain display. Drift down along Jumeirah Beach - a playground for fellow yacht owners. This is a great spot to try out new and innovative watersports and toys such as flybridging or jet skiing, or to stop off at a beach club - we suggest Bla Bla for a lively atmosphere, the Ritz Carlton for a more tranquil experience or Le Meridien Mina Seyahi for a family friendly affair.

While you could spend all your time drifting round these areas, we suggest reserving some time to hop on to dry land and visit the iconic attractions that have put this desert city on the map. Dubai is home to the Burj Khalifa, currently the world’s tallest building, a visit to which can conveniently coincide with a luxurious shopping trip in the neighbouring Dubai Mall. Try your best to find your way past the aquarium, through the arabian-inspired souk, to the fashion avenue for a parade of high end designer stores. We recommend wandering over the bridge to the Souk al Bahar for an evening meal with front row seats to the magnificent Dubai fountain show.

Perhaps as iconic as the Burj Khalifa or the Palm Jumeirah is the Dubai Brunch. Brunch in Dubai is an all-inclusive, over-indulgent gastronomic and social affair, and there is a brunch for every cuisine and to suit every mood. We recommend booking onto the Bvlgari Yacht Club family friendly brunch - conveniently situated marina side and offering a unique a la carte menu with a focus on seafood, or if upbeat and lively is what you’re after, try Ce la Vi.

Finally, to experience the Arabian charm of Dubai in a modern and luxurious way head to the Souk Madinat or the Jumeirah Al Qasr, and be sure to do a desert safari in style at Sonara Camp.

However you decide to spend your time in Dubai, owning a yacht with our yacht co-ownership model opens up a world of possibilities for you.
